Local SEO in Vancouver that ranks your neighbourhood. Not the whole inlet.

Metro Vancouver holds 2.6 million people across 21 municipalities. The city itself holds barely 700,000 of them.

Kits isn't Coquitlam. North Van isn't Newton. Your customer lives on one side of the water. No point paddling upstream.

The Vancouver Problem

Why chasing "SEO Vancouver" burns good money.

Ranking "plumber Vancouver" means fighting every franchise in BC. "Restaurants Vancouver" means fighting the food blogs. What's left for you?

The neighbourhood you actually serve. Anything else turns into a gong show. Here's the honest version.

PROBLEM 01

Water cuts this city into pieces.

Burrard Inlet splits off the North Shore. The Fraser splits off Richmond and Surrey.

A bridge is not a short hop here. It is a decision your customer makes before they call anyone.

PROBLEM 02

Downtown is a knife fight.

Burrard and Coal Harbour look sharp on a business card. On Google they are brutal.

National brands own those postal codes. But Lynn Valley? Steveston? Port Moody? Winnable. And they pay the bills.

PROBLEM 03

The city is a quarter of the region.

Vancouver proper holds about 700,000 people. Metro Vancouver holds 2.6 million.

Surrey alone is bigger than the city. Rank only inside Vancouver and you skip most of your market.

Fix This ยท The Bridge Tax

Every bridge here costs your customer time they will not spend. Cross the wrong one and you are a stranger. You can't cover every crossing at once.

Nobody in Lynn Valley searches "tree service Vancouver". They search "arborist North Vancouver". Same story in Richmond. Same out in Langley. Each municipality runs its own map pack with its own rivals. We build the pages, the profile and the citations that win your side of the water.

The WLS Vancouver Method

Five steps we run for every Vancouver client.

Same framework for a Mount Pleasant studio and a Surrey shop. Different postal codes. We are stoked either way.

01

Postal Code + Bridge Audit

We map every neighbourhood you actually serve. Then we check which bridges you cross.

You see where you rank and where you don't. Numbers first.

02

Google Business Profile

Google Business Profile optimization Vancouver, done properly. Categories, services, service area, photos.

We handle suspensions too. A dead profile means a quiet phone.

03

Neighbourhood Landing Pages

Real pages for the areas that pay you. Kitsilano. Lynn Valley. Steveston. Newton.

Written by people, not spun by software. Each page earns its keep.

04

Local Citations + Links

Local citations Vancouver across Yellow Pages Canada, Canada411, Yelp and Bing Places.

NAP locked and tidy. Then real links from BC sources.

05

Report By Neighbourhood

Monthly reports split by area and by service. No vanity charts.

You see which zone drove which call. Then we back the winners harder.

Vancouver Clients

What Vancouver business owners say.

Real trades. Real neighbourhoods. Real numbers. The goods, not a pretty traffic chart.

Bakery on West 4th in Kitsilano. Our regulars come from Kits, Point Grey, Dunbar and Fairview.

WLS stopped chasing "best bakery Vancouver" and went local instead. Weekday morning trade lifted a third. Rainy months stopped hurting.

6 Vancouver Zones

How we split the Lower Mainland into six ranking playbooks.

Kits and Cloverdale are as different as a seawall run and a farm road. So we split the map properly. What matters is your postal code.

ZONE 1

Downtown, West End and Yaletown

V6B, V6C, V6E, V6G, V6Z. Burrard, Robson, Granville, Coal Harbour and the West End.

Plus Yaletown, Gastown, Chinatown and the seawall. Towers, offices and the densest competition in BC.

ZONE 2

The Westside

V6H to V6T. Kitsilano, Point Grey, Dunbar, Kerrisdale and Shaughnessy.

Down through Fairview, South Granville, Marpole, Oakridge and UBC. Old money, young families and heavy renovation work.

ZONE 3

East Van

V5K to V5W. Commercial Drive, Mount Pleasant, Main Street and Strathcona.

Out to Hastings-Sunrise, Renfrew, Killarney and Victoria-Fraserview. Plus the Punjabi Market strip on Main. Independent shops everywhere.

ZONE 4

The North Shore

V7G to V7W. North Vancouver, Lonsdale, Lynn Valley, Deep Cove and Edgemont.

West to Ambleside, Dundarave, Caulfeild and Horseshoe Bay. Big trees, steep lots and a bridge between you and everyone else.

ZONE 5

Burnaby, New West and the Tri-Cities

V3 to V5. Metrotown, Brentwood, Lougheed, Burnaby Heights and Edmonds.

East through New Westminster, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody and Burke Mountain. SkyTrain corridors and fast growth.

ZONE 6

South of the Fraser and the Valley

Richmond and Steveston. Delta, Tsawwassen and Ladner. Then Surrey: Newton, Fleetwood, Guildford, Cloverdale and South Surrey.

Out to White Rock, Langley, Maple Ridge and Abbotsford. More than a million people most agencies never touch.

Fix This ยท The Burrard Street Trap

A downtown ranking reads well in a report. It pays nothing if your vans leave from Langley each morning. Why fight for blocks your buyers never visit?

Most of the Lower Mainland lives well past Burrard Street. Surrey, Richmond, Burnaby, Coquitlam, North Van, Langley. Each one searches like its own town. A downtown ranking means nothing to a family in Cloverdale. Rank where your customers live and your shoulder season stops hurting.

Rank Beyond Downtown โ†’
Vancouver Services

Nine services. One roof, one bill.

Not nine vendors pointing fingers at each other. Everything a Vancouver business needs to own its neighbourhood.

22 Vancouver Industries

You don't prune a cedar with hedge shears.

A Burrard Street law firm and a Langley fencing crew need different plans. Same discipline. Different playbook. Which one is yours?

Beyond Vancity

Five other Canadian cities we work in.

Vancouver is our BC base. The same discipline travels well across the Rockies. Every city gets its own map, not a copy of this one.

Our Team

Real strategists. Real operators. Real writers. Rafiqul owns Vancouver strategy. Azad owns the numbers. The crew does the daily work.

Vancouver accounts get Canadian English by default. Colour, centre and neighbourhood. But optimization with a z, because that is how Canadians actually write it.

Neighbourhood-First Ranking Bridge-Aware Mapping Beating Downtown Lower Mainland Reach

Grab a flat white. Let me tell you about a North Van arborist. He ranked for "tree service Vancouver". His crew still sat idle. Sound familiar?

Two years ago a North Vancouver arborist called me. Nineteen years climbing. He is certified and he still does the hard removals himself.

He ranked well for "tree service Vancouver". Looks like a win. His schedule said otherwise. Long quiet gaps outside storm season.

Franchise outfits were taking the calls. Big ad budgets and a call centre downtown. Meanwhile his best work sat right up the hill.

His real book was on the North Shore. Lynn Valley and Deep Cove lots with sixty foot cedars. Edgemont properties needing permit paperwork. West Van hazard removals after windstorms.

None of them typed "tree service Vancouver". They typed "arborist North Vancouver". Or "tree removal permit District of North Van". Or "hazard tree West Vancouver". Different districts. Different rules. Different money.

So we dropped the citywide chase. We built a Lynn Valley and Deep Cove page. An Edgemont and Capilano page. A West Van hazard removal page. A permit guide page for both districts.

That permit page did the heavy lifting. North Shore homeowners need approval before a tree comes down. Nobody was explaining it clearly.

Twelve months later his schedule filled year round. Enquiries rose 115 percent. Average job went from 900 dollars to 3,400 because big removals started landing. He added a second climber.

His "tree service Vancouver" ranking slipped away. He never noticed. He was booked five weeks out in February. That is the whole point.

Vancouver is not one Google. It is 21 municipalities split by water. Play the neighbourhood game or save your money. Send us a note.

Analytics Postal Code Tracking Bridge-Crossing Attribution Reporting

Rankings are the input. Booked work and a full schedule are the whole point.

Azad owns the numbers. Which Vancouver neighbourhoods is your profile actually showing in this month? Which zone sends calls that turn into jobs?

He built the reporting so you can see it split properly. City against North Shore. Burnaby against south of the Fraser. Real enquiries against time wasters.

Every ranking gain gets traced to a real postal code query. Every enquiry gets tied to what it cost and what the job was worth.

One question sits at the top of every report. Is this campaign making money in the areas you actually serve? Ranking for "Vancouver" alone is theatre. Ranking in Lynn Valley and Surrey pays wages.

The Crew That Delivers

Someone does the daily work behind every neighbourhood page and every Google profile fix. Same for citations, local links and monthly reports. No smoke and mirrors.

Vancouver FAQ

Straight answers, no fog.

Short answers. No sales spin. Want the long version? Send us a note.

Which Vancouver areas do you cover?

All of Metro Vancouver across six zones. Downtown and the West End. The Westside. East Van. The North Shore. Burnaby, New West and the Tri-Cities. Plus everything south of the Fraser. That means Richmond, Delta, Surrey, White Rock, Langley, Maple Ridge and Abbotsford.

Does crossing a bridge really change my SEO?

Yes, more than most cities. Google weighs proximity heavily, and a bridge adds real travel time. A North Van customer rarely calls a Richmond company. We set your service area to match the crossings your crew genuinely makes. Then we build pages for each side separately.

How much does local SEO cost in Vancouver?

It depends how many areas you want. It also depends how tough your competition is. A single neighbourhood trade campaign sits well below a multi city medical or legal one. We quote after the audit, never before. No long lock-in contracts either.

How long before I see results?

Map pack movement usually starts in 60 to 90 days for neighbourhood postal codes. Downtown, Yaletown and Kitsilano take longer. Often four to six months, because competition there is brutal. Newer Surrey and Langley areas often move fastest. Fewer businesses run proper campaigns out that way.

My Google Business Profile got suspended. Can you fix it?

Usually yes. Most Vancouver suspensions come down to three things. A service area set wrong. A virtual office address. Or a category that does not match the business. We audit the profile, fix the cause, then file the reinstatement with evidence. Most cases clear inside two to three weeks.

Do you handle multicultural neighbourhoods?

Yes. Richmond, Surrey, Burnaby and South Vancouver all have communities that search in their own languages. Chinese, Punjabi, Tagalog and Korean all matter here. We build bilingual landing pages and tune your Google profile. Then we list you in the community directories those customers actually use.

From Kits To Coquitlam ยท Both Sides Of The Water

Vancouver isn't one city. It's 21 municipalities split by water. Each one searches for itself.

From North Van arborists to Surrey dentists. From Kitsilano bakeries to Coquitlam electricians. From Burrard Street law firms to Langley shops. Ten years ranking local businesses. Six Vancouver zones. Twenty-two industries. Nine services under one roof, not nine vendors chasing nine invoices.

Downtown to Abbotsford. Deep Cove to Delta. Steveston to Maple Ridge and every crossing between. Each zone gets its own map, its own rivals and its own plan. South of the Fraser gets real coverage, not an afterthought.

Send us your address and the areas you actually serve. Rafiqul replies himself with a real audit. Where you rank right now. Where you don't. Which neighbourhoods are worth chasing first, and which ones to leave alone. No lock-in and no sales pitch. Just plain numbers you can act on this week. Send us a note.
